Workshops

All of ImagineNation's workshops have been designed to be age appropriate, fully interactive and have the capacity to work with the entire school in any single full day.

Workshops for KS1 children run approximately between 30-45 minutes and KS2 Workshops between 45-75 minutes.  We can work with the school to create a bespoke package to suite the schools individual needs.

We offer yearly, full day and half day workshops coving a wide variety of topics and can create bespoke workshops to suit the individual needs of any school.

E-Safety - KS2

E-Safety is a very topical subject and is currently making the news headlines.  During our interactive workshop, the children climb on board the ImagineNation High Speed Internet Train to journey through different topics on E-Safety including the dangers of opening bogus emails, guidelines for accessing trusted web sites, not divulging personal information and images, the dangers of communicating with strangers online and stressing the importance of never meeting anyone in person they may have connected with online.  Helped along by the Gadget Geezers who have an answer to all their questions.  We also deliver workshops coving anti-bullying and cyberbullying where the children perform a short scripted play in front of their class at the end of the workshop.

Behaviour - KS1

During our Behaviour DRAMA BASED WORKSHOPS the younger children will learn how to become a Good Friend, starting with Reception class our workshop focuses on the Importance of Sharing & Playing Nicely.  Our workshops with years 1, 2 & 3 cover the topics Friends & Friendships, Good Behaviour/Bad Behaviour & Consequences and all about Acceptance & Exclusion

Growing Up - KS1 & KS2

Our Growing up DRAMA BASED WORKSHOPS cover many of the different changes and responsibilities that occur throughout the primary school years, from Starting School with the Reception Class, through to Going to High School with year 6, coving topics such as feeling & emotions, responsibilities, peer pressure and money management.

Diversity, Equality & Inclusion - KS1 & KS2

Often a difficult topic to cover for KS1 children, however ImagineNation have created a way to get the point across regarding Diversity, Equality & Inclusion by playing games with the younger children.  The games we play enable the children to gain a greater knowledge and understanding of how and why We are all Different.  In this topic we extend the learning for KS2 children demonstrating how we should Respect the Elderly, understand Why People are Homeless, why people have Disabilities and how we should accept them to be part of the same society and community.

Resilience & Social Skills - KS1 & KS2

It is important for children to realise that they can 'bounce back' from any setbacks they might come across in life.  With ImagineNation DRAMA BASED WORKSHOPS they will learn ways and strategies that will help them achieve this.  The workshops include Feeling Lonely, Don't Let Things Get You Down, I Can Do It and coping with Grief, Loss or Family Break Ups.  The workshops also include co-operation, teamwork, patience and manners, some of the skills required to help the children develop.

Environment & Wildlife - KS1 & KS2

ImagineNation want to make children aware of recycling & conservation. Children are the future of our planet and they harness the power of change.  ImagineNation DRAMA BASED WORKSHOPS will provide educational activities for children to learn how they can make a positive impact on the environment.  Covering topics about Climate Change, the Worlds Water Shortage, Protecting Wildlife & Recycling.

Your Health & Safety - KS1 & KS2

Your Health & Safety DRAMA BASED WORKSHOPS will give children a greater awareness of the Dangers of Strangers and following rules which will keep them safe outside of school.  We cover the all-important Safety on a Playground for the younger children and move on to the potential dangers of Playing Around Lakes & Railways for the older children.  Our Road Safety workshop not only covers how to be more aware as a pedestrian but also whilst out on a bike and scooter.  We want to stress how important it is to stay safe from others and in year 6 we teach the children through role play the dangers they could face by Joining a Gang.
